REET Exam Date 2023
Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) is an eligibility test for the recruitment of teachers which is conducted every year by the Department of School Education Council of Rajasthan. 1. Educational Qualifications:
For Level 1 (Paper 1 – Primary Teacher, Classes 1 to 5):
- Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (Class 12th) with at least 50% marks or should be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Alternatively, candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (Class 12th) with at least 50% marks or should be appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Candidates with a Graduation Degree and those who are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible.
For Level 2 (Paper 2 – Upper Primary Teacher, Classes 6 to 8):
- Candidates should have a Graduation Degree and should be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Alternatively, candidates should have a Graduation Degree with at least 50% marks and should be appearing in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduates with a 2-year D.El.Ed from an institution recognized by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) are also eligible.
2. Age Limit:

REET 2023 Selection Process

REET 2023 Syllabus
REET 2023 Minimum Qualifying Marks
A candidate must score at least 60% marks to qualify for the interview round. There is a negative marking of ⅓ mark for the REET exam and the candidate has to score overall qualifying marks to get selected for recruitment. There are no criteria for section-wise qualification. In accordance with NCTE Guidelines, the REET Certificate shall be valid for a lifetime.
REET 2023 Salary
The candidates will get salaries according to their grades. Candidates are curious about the salary structure of primary teachers and also about other grade teachers. The grade-wise salary structure is given below in the table. Candidates can check the salary of their grade in the table, although the Rajasthan government is giving a handsome amount of salary to all the grades. REET 2023 Validity
Only the finally shortlisted candidates are liable for REET Certification after which they can appear for interview rounds for the schools in the state. The REET 2023 Certificate validity of the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test ‘REET’ in the state will now be lifelong as announced by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. Earlier, the REET certificates were valid for up to seven years, which was later reduced to three years.
