HPSC HCS Personality Test / Interview Stage 2023


The personality exam is of 75 marks, and only HPSC HCS Mains qualified candidates are invited for the interview. Hence, the final merit list would be prepared out of 675 marks in totality. The marks of the Mains Exam and Interview are counted for preparing the final merit list. The candidates clearing HPSC HCS Mains Exam 2023 will be called for the personality test/ Interview by the HPSC. The candidate will be called for the HPSC HCS interview only if he scores 45% marks in the aggregate of all the main written question papers and 33% marks in the Hindi and English question papers. The number of candidates called for the HCS personality test will be three times the number of HPSC vacancies advertised.

HPSC Recruitment 2023: Interview

This is the last stage based on which candidates will be selected for several posts. The HPSC personality test holds a weightage of 75 marks. The final merit list of the shortlisted candidates for the exam is prepared based on the total marks of 675. The candidates need to get a good score in the main written and interview as marks obtained in prelims will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.

HPSC Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the HPSC exam are based on three parameters including age limit, educational qualification, and physical standards.

HPSC Educational Qualification 2023

A candidate for this exam must have earned a bachelor’s degree in any field from a reputable university. However, candidates can apply for the test even if they are in their final year of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Additionally, the final year grade or score sheet needs to be sent in by the HCS deadline.
  • Additionally, candidates must obtain their degree certificate or mark sheet prior to the HCS deadline. Candidates, however, have 30 days from the announcement of the exam to finish their HCS application.
  • A candidate for this exam must have graduated from a recognized university with a bachelor’s degree in any field. However, Applicants in their last year of a bachelor’s degree program can apply for the test. Besides, the final year mark sheet or score sheet must be submitted before the HCS deadline.
  • Besides this, applicants should get their degree certificate/mark sheet before the HCS deadline. However, Candidates have 30 days after the exam announcement to complete their HCS application.

In order to apply for the HPSC, the candidate must be an Indian national.

HPSC Age Limit 2023

Applicants must be at least 21 years old. For those applying to the Haryana PSC, the maximum age is 42. The age of the candidate will be counted from January 1, 2022, of the exam year. There is some relaxation in the upper age limit for the candidates belonging to reserved categories.
