CTET Cut off 2024

Central Teacher Eligibility Test also known as CTET is a national-level examination held twice a year to assess the eligibility of candidates for teacher posts for Classes 1 to 8 in the government sector. The CTET Result has been released with the marks of candidates scored by them in the examination. CTET Cut Off 2024 has not been released as it is an eligibility test, the candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks as set by the exam authority will be declared qualified in the CTET Exam and will be provided a CTET certificate.

CTET Cut-Off 2024

The CTET exam is qualifying in nature, and candidates must achieve equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks to advance in the recruitment process. Set by CBSE, the CTET cut-off is influenced by factors such as the difficulty level of the paper and the number of candidates who appeared for the exam. The CTET Cut-off 2024 will be announced after the exam concludes. It is expected to be released in February 2024 along with the CTET result.

 

CTET Qualifying Marks 2024 for General/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD

As mentioned earlier, CTET qualifying marks vary across categories. While candidates belonging to the UR category are required to secure a minimum of 60 percent marks, reserved category candidates need to achieve 55 percent marks to pass the exam. This implies that out of the total 150 marks, 90 marks are considered CTET qualifying marks for the General category, and 82 marks are considered CTET qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC.

CTET Qualifying Marks for Female

As per the CBSE-fixed CTET qualifying marks for 2024, candidates need to secure the same marks irrespective of their gender. A minimum of 60 per cent marks is required for candidates belonging to the general category, and 55 per cent marks for reserved categories.

CTET Qualifying Marks for Paper 1

The CTET exam is divided into two levels: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates who aspire to teach classes 1 to 5, while CTET Paper 2 is conducted for candidates interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both papers consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, each carrying a weightage of one mark.

Out of the total 150 marks, 90 marks are considered qualifying for aspirants belonging to the General category, and 82 are considered qualifying for reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC.

Qualifying Marks for CTET Paper 2

CBSE has set the same qualifying marks for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, which means General category candidates need to secure 60 per cent or higher to crack the exam, and reserved category candidates need 55 per cent or higher.

CTET Passing Marks

The passing marks for CTET 2024 are different for different categories of aspirants. For general category candidates, the passing marks are 90 out of 150 (60%), and for OBC/SC/ST, it is 82 out of 150 (55%).

CTET Passing Marks for SC, ST

Aspirants belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST etc need to secure at least 55 percent in the exam to become eligible for teacher position. This implies CTET passing marks for SC, ST is 82 out of 100.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads cut off marks for CTET exam.

Step 3: CTET cut-off pdf will open in the new webpage. Check the cutoff marks for all the categories and save it for future reference.
