Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical) for the sponsored project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Centre for Advanced Research scheme to the VIT School of Bio-Science and Technology (SBST), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, T.N, India.

Title of the Project:

“Generation of Bacteriophages for Combating Bacterial Infections of the Skin and Musculoskeletal System.”

Number of posts: 02

Qualification:

Ist / IInd Class PG Degrees/ Integrated PG with three years of experience or PhD (Life Science/Biological Sciences/Engineering or Technology)

Desirable (if any):

• The candidate should be involved in the implementation of the center, set-up of phage susceptibility testing, and designing the experiments to determine the killing effect of phages.
He/she is also expected to work with whole genome sequences using bioinformatics- based data analysis.
• The position will be under the general supervision of the Project Director.

Stipend: Rs. 67,000/- per month + 10 % HRA per month (73,700).
