About the program

This internship focuses on solid waste management activities within the jurisdiction of Municipal Corporation, Chapra. Interns are required to monitor: 1. Door to-door solid waste collection, 2. Drain cleaning work, 3. Daily sweeping activities, 4. IEC activities for Swachh Survekshan, and 5. Other tasks as directed by the Municipal Commissioner and Assistant Public Sanitation and Waste Management Officers. Additionally, interns will work on community engagement in solid waste management. This may involve creating educational materials, organizing community events, or working with schools and businesses to promote sustainable waste practices.

Terms of Engagement

1. Interns will be selected through an interview conducted by a committee formed by the Municipal Commissioner of Chapra. If a large number of applications are received for the internship, then a limited number of candidates will be shortlisted for an interview based on the percentage of marks obtained in their graduation. 2. Venue of the interview will be the Municipal Corporation, Chapra. 3. Interns must follow the rules and conduct of the Municipal Corporation, Chapra. If he fails to do so, his candidature for the internship will be cancelled, and a certificate will not be issued. 4. No accommodation or travel facilities will be provided for the internship. Interns must arrange these facilities on their own. 5. An offer of internship is not a promise of employment by the Municipal Corporation, Chapra. Any claim in this regard will be rejected. 6. During the internship, if a candidate does not perform satisfactorily, a certificate will not be issued. 7. In case of any ambiguity or dispute, the decision of the Municipal Commissioner, Chapra, will be final. 8. The Municipal Commissioner of Chapra reserves the right to cancel this internship offer.
