Brief Information: The Joint Entrance Exam Main (Session 2) registration period opened February 2, 2024, with the NTA handling the registration. Candidates can register themselves till the deadline 2 March 2024. The JEE Main will run from 1-15 April 2024.

JEE Main Eligibility 2024

The NTA has supplied all the information you need to know about the JEE Main qualifying requirements for 2024. Prior to applying, the candidate must confirm that they satisfy all qualifying conditions.

Age Limit

  • There is no age limit for JEE Main 2024.

Education Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent test from an approved board.
  • Only those candidates who completed the 10+2 or equivalent test in 2022, 2023, or who are taking the exam in 2024 will be qualified for JEE Main 2024.
  • Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational topic, or any other topic, should be among the five disciplines in which the applicants had to be competent. 

Qualifying Marks

  • At least 75% of applicants (65% for SC/ST candidates) or those who score below the top 20 % on their respective boards are required for admission to the B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan programs.
  • Admission requirements for B.Arch programs in institutions other than IIITs, NITs, and CFITs are as follows: 50% of total points in maths, physics, and chemistry from 10+2 or above.
