HP TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must fulfill the HP TET Eligibility 2023 to appear for the exam. Candidates must match the exam parameters like age limit, educational qualification, number of attempts, nationality, etc. Candidates must go through the following table given below to ensure that they are fulfilling the HP TET criteria or not.
Educational Qualifications:
- For TGT (Arts/Non-Medical/Medical):
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com.) with at least 50% marks.
- Candidates who are appearing in the final year of the Bachelor’s degree are also eligible.
- For Shastri:
- Candidates should have a degree of Shastri with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
- For Language Teacher:
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as an elective subject and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- For JBT (Junior Basic Training):
- Candidates should have a Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- For Punjabi Language Teacher:
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with Punjabi as an elective subject and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- For Urdu Language Teacher:
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with Urdu as an elective subject and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Age Limit: There is no specific age limit to apply for HP TET.
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: To pass the HP TET, candidates need to secure at least 60% marks in the examination. However, relaxation in qualifying marks is provided for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

HP TET 2023 Selection Process
The selection process for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) primarily involves two stages:

HPTET 2023 Answer Key
HPBOSE will release the provisional HPTET Answer Key 2023 on the official website providing an opportunfoy to the candidates to challenge or raise objections to the Provisional Answer Key. The subject experts will assess all the challenges received by the candidates and then the final answer keys will be displayed on ctet.nic.in. The HPTET Result will be declared according to the final answer keys.
HPTET 2023 Results
The declaration of results will be done by HPBOSE after the examination of HPTET is conducted. The HPTET result will be declared within 04 (Four) weeks from the date of conduct of the examination. So the HPTET 2023 Result will be declared tentatively after a month of the exam date.
