Romania, Bulgaria, Greece Boost NATO Eastern Flank Mobility
Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece signed a strategic deal on July 11. All three countries are members of NATO and the EU.
This deal will make it easier for troops and weapons to move quickly across their lines, especially along NATO’s eastern flank.
Russia’s aggressive invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has made people in NATO and EU countries even more worried about their safety, which makes this choice even more important.

1. BSF and CISF Stand Firm on 10% Reservation for Agniveers in CAPFs
The first batch of Agniveers will be eligible for recruitment in CAPFs such as CISF, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles in 2026.
Candidates between the age of 17.5 years to 21 years will be eligible for enrolling in the Agnipath scheme.
Only 25% of Agniveers who are absorbed into the forces after 4 years will receive pension.
The dropouts will be eligible for reservation in CAPFs.

2. Vizhinjam International Port Welcomes First Mothership Docking in Kerala
The ‘San Fernando’ from China is the first container ship to dock at Vizhinjam International Sea Port.
The Vizhinjam International Seaport Thiruvananthapuram it is planned to be India’s first deep water container transshipment port, currently under trial run in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
