About Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2024)
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2024) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for academic session 2024-25 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.

Role of NTA
The Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer
key, inviting challenges, finalising answer keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting
Score Card.
Merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may
conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (UG) – 2023
provided by NTA.
EXAMINATION SCHEME
Mode of Examination:
CUET (UG) – 2024 will completely be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Medium of Examination:
The option of language for Question Paper should be exercised while filling up the Application Form
online and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
Please note that for the correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version
will be taken as the final.

There are three shifts in a day. A candidate can choose upto 10 Subjects for giving the Exam.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility
For appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2024, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates
who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2024 irrespective of
their age can appear in CUET (UG) – 2024 examination. However, the candidates will be
required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in
which they are desirous of taking admission.
List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)
i. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State
Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the
Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/
University.
iii. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National
Defence Academy
iv. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open
Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
v. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is
recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities
(AIU).
vi. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
vii. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3
years duration.
viii. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the
Advanced (A) level.
ix. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International
Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
x. Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or
from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of
Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent
to the Class 12 Examination.
xi. In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have
passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination
For year of appearance in Class 12 / equivalent examination, relavant conditions of Universities /
Institutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the
website of respective Universities / Institutions.
CUET (UG) – 2023 NTA Score for Admissions in Central and other Participating

CUET (UG) – 2024 NTA SCORE
a) For multi-shift papers, raw (actual) marks obtained by the candidates in different
shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score.
b) The detailed procedure for the compilation of the NTA Score is available on NTA
Website and also in the Appendix-VII of the Information Bulletin.
c) The NTA Score of CUET (UG) – 2024 is valid for admission to the academic year 2024-
25 only.
RE-EVALUATION / RE-CHECKING OF RESULT
a) The result for CUET (UG) – 2024 will be processed based on Final Answer Keys. No
grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after the Declaration of Result of CUET (UG) –
2024 will be entertained.
b) The marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result
of CUET (UG) – 2024.
c) There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the result. No correspondence in this regard
shall be entertained.
d) No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to
download their Score Cards for CUET (UG) – 2024 from the website:
https://cuet.samarth.ac.in.
ADMISSIONS
a) Merely appearing in CUET (UG) – 2024 does not confer any right to the candidate for
admission to the desirous University.
b) The selection and admission are subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, rank
in the merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and such other criteria
as may be prescribed by the University.
c) Admissions are handled at the level of each of the Central Universities (CUs) for their
respective programs. After the declaration of the CUET (UG) – 2024 result by NTA, the
respective CUs will declare the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the
CUET (UG) – 2024 score and the other criteria of the respective University.
For all admission related procedures/queries, the candidates are advised to refer to the
website of the applied University.
d) NTA does not have any role in preparation of Merit List.

CUET (UG) 2024 Application Process

Steps to Fill CUET Application Form 2024
Step 1 – Visit the official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Step 2 – Click on the “Apply Online” tab on the home page.
Step 3 – Enter the following details mentioned like the name of the program applied for, program details, name, email ID, mobile number, date of birth and verification code displayed on the screen.
Step 4 – Application ID and password will be generated after the registration process is done.
Step 5 – Use the application number and password to log-in. Now fill out the remaining application form.
Step 6 – Upload scanned images of all the documents required.
Step 7 – Select the examination centers- In order of the preference, select and enter the exam centres.
Step 8 – Now, enter the university and programme details.
Step 9 – Pay the applicable fees in online mode and take a printout of the application form.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the CUET UG 2024 admit card on its official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The participating universities will conduct the admission process based on the CUET 2024 result. The CUET 2024 scores are normalised and calculated based on the “Equipercentile method”.

CUET (UG) 2024 Counselling
The CUET participating universities will begin the counselling process separately after the declaration of CUET result 2024. The universities will invite all the applications in the beginning and then release the cut offs based on the CUET scores. Candidates who will clear the cutoff will be eligible for the counselling round. Candidates are required to submit all the required documents for verification and pay the admission fee to lock their seats.
