Seed Health Analyst III

JOB PURPOSE
Executes seed health testing in vegetable crops.
Manages team of seed health testing in vegetable crops for domestic and export markets.
• Collaborates with global platform functions to ensure strong partnership and knowledge exchange to enable successful implementation of SH testing workflows.
Understands customer and stakeholder needs to work towards exceeding their expectations, driving a customer-centric mindset.
• Assures quality enables supply and delivers products that comply with business, regulatory, and customer specifications.
• Provides need-based support in genetic molecular testing.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ADVERTISEMENT
Planning and execution of seed health using protocols defined by global platform functions.
• Resource planning and management, including lab chemicals, lab supplies, and lab instrument maintenance, calibration, and validation.
• Coordinates with production, technology, crop quality, and inventory management teams for annual sample estimation and arrival schedule.
• Works with global platform functions for validation and implementation of new test protocols.
• Responsible for implementation of Lab Vantage in both seed health and genetic testing as per timelines.

Supports new QC tests and validation as per Global Genetic Quality Assurance,
establishing testing protocols.
Aligns with regulatory for seed movement within and outside India.
• Owns root cause analysis of complaint samples related to Genetic/Trait Purity & seed health.
• Participates in Continual Improvement projects and implements best practices.
• Sustains QMS, EMS, ETS, and laboratory management systems.
•
Responsible for bringing operational excellence in the seed health lab and working on cost reduction in testing.
• Plans for the implementation of onePSS in seed testing and process improvement to reduce test costs.

WHO ARE YOU
Master’s degree in Plant Pathology, Microbiology, or Molecular Biology.
• PhD degree in a related field is an added advantage.
• 3+ years’ experience in seed health lab.
• Demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with teams, proactive in implementing strategies that deliver quantitative business results.
