About CTET EXAM
Central Teacher Eligibility Test, or CTET, is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. The test is mandatory for individuals who wish to become teachers in government schools up to the secondary level. The CTET exam is typically conducted twice a year, in February and September, and the upcoming CTET 2024 is expected to be held in the month of February.
There are 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in each of CTET Papers I and II. There is no negative marking for incorrect response; only one mark is given for each correct response. The test is conducted using paper and pen in an offline format. Paper 1 has five sections; however, Paper 2 only has four. CTET Application Form
The CTET application form 2024 has been made available on the official website. The following steps are involved in the CTET application process:
- CTET Registration Procedure– Fill in the fields with information such as state, identification type (choose any Identity as applicable), candidate’s name, date of birth, and gender.
- Application form – Fill out the online application form and select a password. A Registration Number/Application Number is generated after submission. Make a note of the Registration/Application No. The system generated Registration No./Application No. and Password will be used for further logins.
- Uploading of scanned documents – Before applying online, candidates should have scanned images of their most recent photograph and signature ready in JPG format and in the size and dimensions indicated.
- Pay exam fee– The payment method is online (debit card, credit card, or net banking).
- Downloading confirmation page – Candidates must print the Confirmation Page for their records and retain it for future reference.
Steps to Apply Online for CTET
Candidates can apply “ON-LINE” by visiting the CTET website. The candidate should fill out the Online Form completely and provide scanned images of their most recent photos and signature. Candidates must print the Confirmation Page after successfully submitting their data and paying the appropriate fee. Candidates could fill out the CTET online form 2023 by following the instructions outlined below:
- Go to the official website.
- Click the ‘Apply for CTET January 2024’ button.
- Select ‘New Registration’.
- Check the details, then click on acknowledgment and continue.

CTET Eligibility Criteria
The necessary CTET Eligibility Criteria for taking the CTET Exam as announced by NCTE are provided below:
- Candidates enrolled in a Teaching Training Course (TTC) are treated as “Pursuing” and are eligible to sit for the exam.
- Candidates whose appointment has been called into question may sit for the CTET exam.
- Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% or an equivalent, as well as a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
- Candidates must also meet the eligibility conditions established by the competent agency or recruitment organization, such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, in order to be considered for the position.
- A CTET certificate does not guarantee a candidate’s employment. It is a requirement for teacher posts.
CTET Nationality
The candidate’s nationality will have a significant impact on their eligibility for the CTET in 2024. The CTET is a qualifying eligibility exam, just like the other TET exams. As a result, the CTET salary structure is flexible.
